The Cornerstone Coaching Difference
As a business owner and active member of my chamber of commerce, I forge new relationships on a weekly basis. Often I speak with people who also work in the executive coaching space, and I am asked the question, “what is your methodology?” or, “what makes you different?”
Well, here’s my explanation…
My career, which spans 20+ years has a firm foundation in HR including learning & development, change management, business development, performance, and management consulting.
Through my master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational psychology, I bring an extensive understanding of human behavior in the workplace allowing me to identify and optimize the intangible “people qualities” that contribute to an organization’s ability to grow and thrive.
My focus is not on the typical c-suite executive, but rather business owners and emerging leaders of small to mid-sized organizations. In smaller organizations, leaders often wear multiple hats and may not have had formal training in leadership. Coaching can help these leaders develop the necessary skills and mindset to lead effectively, leading to better organizational performance and employee satisfaction.
My coaching methodology is rooted in a deep understanding of each individual’s unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations. I believe in empowering clients to discover their own solutions, foster accountability, and maintain a growth mindset, all through a supportive environment where clients feel safe to express themselves.
I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs and goals in two ways: through the use of the Coachability@Work Assessment as it focuses on maximizing coaching interactions by understanding the coachee’s willingness to ask, accept and act on feedback. Further, the assessment results help the coachee increase their self-awareness, allowing them to better understand themselves from the start; and secondly through the use of powerful questioning I gain clarity, challenge limiting beliefs, and develop actionable steps through the GROW framework.
Ultimately, my goal is to support my clients in achieving sustainable growth and a sense of fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives.
